Hello Marc, thank you for your response! After any player is activated, it will default to the LFN (Local File Networking) setup unless something else is assigned to the player before hand. Your screenshot confirms the player is currently setup for LFN. For a BrightSign player to go from one set-up configuration to another there are two steps:
Assign the new Blackdove partner setup record within the BSN Admin>Provision page. (You already did this)
You need to explicitly 'Reprovision' the player through the Control tab of the DWS (Diagnostic Web Server). This will officially initiate the new Blackdove setup on the player.
The DWS is accessible through the 'Network' tab. Select the gear icon next to your player name to be taken to the remote DWS. Reprovisioning Player Guide: However, considering your player is on a very old OS firmware , to prevent any other possible issues in setup I'm going to have you follow different steps to both update your player to the latest firmware and install your application. I will attach a download link to the latest OS firmware for your player here: Steps for you:
Power off your player.
Remove your the SD card from the player and wipe all files.
Place the 'cobra-9.0.168-update.bsfw' file on the root of the SD card as the only file.
Factory reset the player with the button method: .
Wait until the BrightSign info page is displayed. It's a black and white page with the BrightSign logo, the player model, IP, Mac Address, and OS version.
Insert the SD into your player and reboot the player.
Because you have already assigned your new Blackdove partner setup record to the player in the Admin>Provision page, clearing the SD and putting the new OS update on the card will allow the player to not only update to the latest OS, but then download the most recent Blackdove setup record.
