# LG Firmware Update

A firmware update consists of two types of firmware: SoC firmware and Micom firmware. Unless explicitly stated, both firmware types are updated together at once.

We recommend you update your device with the latest firmware version.

**Note:** In case your signage device malfunctions after updating the firmware for webOS Signage 1.0, please factory reset your device. The malfunctions you may experience include the remote controller not working properly, network failure, and no audio. Note that when you reset your data on your device, all the settings will be initialized to the default. In this case, you need to set up your signage device again.
