Prepare

  1. Enter the factory/service menu

  • On the remote, press Mute → 1 → 8 → 2 → Power (ON) in steady succession. Note that the mute button on later remotes no longer says ‘Mute’ on it. It has a picture of a speaker with a line through it. It is directly below the 0 key. Not to be confused with the ‘screen mute’ button.

  • The display will boot into the Factory/Service Menu.

  1. Run the reset

  • In the service menu, go to Option → Factory Reset.

  • Confirm if prompted; the display will reboot and return to the initial Plug & Play/setup wizard.

After the reset, the display may need to be powered back on by pressing the power button. The setup sequence will ask for WiFi connection information (which must be supplied). It will then offer ‘Manual’, ‘Zero Touch Configuration', or USB setup. After a Blackdove technician has entered your serial number into our management tool (from the pictures you have sent), select ‘Zero Touch Configuration’. Everything else is automatic. When complete you will see a paring screen showing a qrcode, which you can scan with the Blackdove phone app under settings > displays > add display. You can also send a picture of the pairing screen to a Blackdove technician and they can pair it for you if you supply the email address of your Blackdove account.
