Setup Instructions for LG Digital Canvas

Instructions for WebOS 3.0 and WebOS 2.0 Devices

  • Turn on the device and press the Settings Button on the Remote Control

  • Go down and select the icon with vertical ellipses (…) in it.

  • Go down to Network Settings and configure the network.

  • Afterward, go down to General Settings.

  • Select Time & Date option

  • Set the Time and Date and press the Back button on the Remote Control

  • Press Home Button and search for SI server Application in the carousel seen at the bottom.

  • If you do not see the SI server application in the carousel, Press the Settings Button on the Remote Control for 7 seconds until a message popup is displayed on top.

  • Then type 8080 and then press the OK Button on the Remote Control immediately.

  • On the sidebar, inside the SI Server menu, go to Application Launch Mode and select Remote.

  • Turn on the Fully Qualified Domain Name and Enter the URL of the remote application as identified from the table above.

  • Select the rotation as desired. For landscape it os 0 degrees and for portrait mode it is 90 degrees.

  • Press Exit and Turn Off the device.

  • Wait for 10 seconds and then Turn ON the Device again.

  • After few seconds the app will launch automatically on the device.

  • Turn on the device and press the Settings Button on the Remote Control

  • On the sidebar, Go down to General Settings

  • Go down to Network Settings and configure the network.

  • Afterward, go up to select Time & Date option

  • Set the Time and Date and press the Back button on the Remote Control

  • Go up in EZ Setting

  • Press Right Button to go to the sidebar, and select SI Server Setting.

  • Select SI Server Setting again.

  • Go to Application Launch Mode and select Remote.

  • Turn on the Fully Qualified Domain Name and Enter the URL of the remote application as identified from the table above.

  • Press Back button on Remote Control twice.

  • Go Down to Display option and press Right Button to go to Rotation Option.

  • Select Screen Rotation. For landscape it os 0 degrees and for portrait mode it is 90 degrees.

  • Press Exit and Turn Off the device.

  • Wait for 10 seconds and then Turn ON the Device again.

  • After few seconds the app will launch automatically on the device.

Note: Some of the display adjustment controls (such as brightness) are greyed out (unselect-able) when an app is running.

Because our app auto-runs at power up, to adjust them you must exit our app by pressing the back button on the remote a few times. The button looks like a bent arrow in the lower left corner of 4 arrow keys on the remote control. The first back arrow will restart the app, the second or third back arrow press will exit our app, so you will only see a black screen and a no-signal message. Once that happens, press the gear button (upper left corner of 4 arrow keys) then in the left column select 'display' and in the right side section select 'picture mode'. Now, all of the display settings, including brightness, will be available. To restart the Blackdove player, turn the screen off, wait a few seconds, turn the screen back on.
